wondelai/skills is a pack that turns frameworks from business and practical books into agent skills. The repository has 2,195 stars, and it installs in Claude Code as plugins and in Codex-compatible tools as individual skills. This post covers what problem it solves, who should install it, how the first run goes, and the one thing to check before you let it loose in a project.

What problem it solves

Reading a book like The Mom Test does not mean your own interview questions follow it. Knowing a framework and applying it to your own draft are different skills. wondelai/skills closes that gap by packaging each framework as a skill that reviews your work against the book’s criteria. The mom-test skill, for example, checks an interview plan item by item against three rules: ask about the other person’s life, ask about specific past facts, and talk less yourself. It then explains what to fix.

The README describes 65 skills in total: 51 book frameworks plus 14 metaskills. Each framework skill names its source, with an author and book title listed next to it in the README table. Skills are instructed to report the criteria you failed along with ways to fix them, so the output reads like a scored diagnosis rather than a summary of the book.

Who it fits

The chapter rates the fit for four situations. Three of them are enough to decide.

Situation Fit Reason
Designing interview questions Good fit Includes mom-test
Structuring prices and offers Good fit Includes relevant skills
Checking Korean regulations Poor fit No regulatory content

Diagnosing revenue problems sits in the middle. The pack can do it, and jobs-to-be-done lists diagnosing poor sales and churn among its uses, but expect a long workflow rather than a quick answer.

Install and first run

In Claude Code, add the marketplace and install a plugin pack. In a Codex-compatible tool, install individual skills.

# Install the business strategy plugin in Claude Code
/plugin marketplace add wondelai/skills
/plugin install product-strategy@wondelai-skills
# Install an individual skill in a Codex-compatible tool
npx skills add wondelai/skills/mom-test --global

Then name the skill in your request and hand it your draft.

Use mom-test to review [customer interview questions]

Start with a single framework that matches the task in front of you, such as customer interviews, negotiation, or sales. The README points to EXAMPLES.md for 96 example prompts organized by role, from founders and product managers to copywriters, which is a faster way to find a starting point than reading all 65 skill descriptions.

What trips people up

The metaskills write files. They carry longer tasks forward by asking a decision question at each stage and saving the answers as state documents in your project’s docs/ folder, which lets the journey continue in another session. create-business, for instance, runs 10 skills in sequence, from jobs-to-be-done to crossing-the-chasm. If your project already uses docs/ for something else, check the existing structure before you start a metaskill. The skill count also varies by source: the repository description and the README give different numbers, so check skill names rather than totals before you install.

Where this comes from

This post adapts part of chapter 01-04 of The Claude Code & Codex Skills Guidebook. The full chapter covers the table of included skills, from negotiation to lean-analytics, and the range of the 14 metaskills, which extend beyond business into websites, apps, code quality, and conversion rate improvement, and the book has 52 more skills like this one. Frequently asked questions

When is wondelai/skills a good fit?
It fits designing customer interview questions, because it includes mom-test, and structuring prices and offers. Diagnosing revenue problems works but requires a long workflow. It is a poor fit for checking Korean regulations, since the pack has no regulatory content.
Does it replace reading the books?
No. The README says the pack is based on public information and general knowledge, and it recommends buying and reading the original authors' books in full.
